We have the pleasure to announce RRB6 - the 6th International Conference on Renewable Resources and Biorefineries - which will be organized in Düsseldorf, Germany on June 7-9, 2010.
This conference is the prime forum for renewable resources, industrial biotechnology and biorefineries in Europe and aims at bringing together academic researchers, industrial experts, policymakers and venture capital providers to discuss the challenges emerging from the transition towards a bio-based economy and to present new developments in this area.

GEOBIA 2010 is an international conference focussing on GEOgraphic object-Based Image Analysis. Within this central theme GEOBIA 2010 covers three key topics:
* Theory and concepts
* Methods and algorithms
* Applications: mapping and monitoring
GEOBIA 2010 brings together scientists and practitioners from all over the world to present and discuss new developments in GEOgraphic Object-Based Image Analysis.
GEOBIA 2010 is organized by FORSIT (FBW, UGent) in collaboration with Utrecht University, ITC and ISPRS and takes place at the Faculty of Bio-science Engineering. Next to almost 170 presentations covering a wide range of topics all related to GEOBIA, hands-on workshops are offered and a social program is planned on three beautiful locations in Ghent.
